Do you guys add a protective layer above your tablet surface to prevent scratches or whatnot damage to your tablet? I'm really curious as I've been subconsciously sticking a piece of transparent sheet which came with the graphire 3 tablet I bought 6 years ago and have been drawing on it for all these years.
Recently I've got a Bamboo Fun Tablet from my boyfriend for Valentine's Day (in return I bought him a FCUK slingbag) and I've been dying to try it out but it just doesn't work smoothly in SAI for me. I have been tweaking the tablet driver properties but nothing seem to work. Any advice? Also because it's brand new, I'm afraid to scratch it. ;__;
First girl on the left is my OC Jyen. ;D Hidden art I guess~
Oh lookie. My arts on t-shirts. They're pretty comfy really. Click on them for bigger view.
I don't know if anyone would buy them, they're just samples. By the way I have no samples on the bags yet. They'll come soon hopefully.
I'm using an intous 3 for over a year now. I put him into a spacial bag right after i'm done working it's it so its all good as new. This bag of my is not wacoms brand but you can get bags like this from them as well [link]
8D im using bamboo fun tablet also... and so far i dont use any protective layer sheet on the surface as it might hinders the iinteraction between the pen ? :S is your tablet white ? cos be careful as the pen will get dirty easily <_> ....
my solution - if its badly scratch due to abusive use then get a new one lol wth
Ahhh yeahh it's white ): Oh darn, but i think maybe because it's white you can spot them easily compared to other colours.
I've been using my graphier for 5-6 years with the sheet and it has no problems for me XD. Amazingly I didn't break a tip either when I knock it on the table surface so many times.
so like yeah .... D; i think you better clean the pen tablet once in a while... cos i overuse it by cging for 5 hours non stop and the handle became very dirtyy ;_; ... yeah 8D i think you should just use the tablet surface without anything covered on it...
and you can buy replacement tips online yes ? they do gave extra nibs in the box too i believe o: ...
wow .. i only use graphire 3 for 3 years previously and now im handing it down to my sis
My tablet has a protective cover (Wacom Intuos3 6x8 tablet) I think? I found that there's a small scratch being worn down on the right side since I use my tablet as my "mouse" on the computer. So that's the same spot as the scrollbar for FireFox~ Its only a little over a year old, but I think this is the protective cover? I've never tried to take it off either, I don't wanna break something. ROFL I hope that helped you, then again I may have just been rambling lol
I've been using a Bamboo Fun for about a year. It works smoothly in SAI for me without a protective covering. There are scratches on the surface, but nothing deep that'll mess with the pen's path >_< Maybe you just need to get used to a new tablet O:
